Tanzanite Crystals
Tanzanite Crystals are
rather rare, in general, as much of the material is badly broken when the miners
recover it. On the other hand, if the crystals are nice, the miners want
to cut
them up to make gems. All of our tanzanite comes from the world's one commercial
deposit in the Merelani Hills of Tanzania near Arusha. In spite of their rarity, we have a very nice selection - these can be collected as
specimens or used in making some very unique wire wrap type jewelry.
